Parents who plan to visit Adventure Island after the race MUST buy additional "Stay & Play" tickets (valid only on race day). They are available for purchase at the discounted rate through the Kids Tri registration system. A 'Stay & Play' ticket is NOT needed to watch the race before the park opens. Additional "Stay & Play" ticket sales will close at 11:59PM on Sunday, April 19th.
No. The bike transition area will be open to athletes and race staff ONLY. This means parents will not be allowed to assist their athlete with finding his/her bike during the race and/or after the race. Our transition staff are dedicated to making sure all athletes find their bikes quickly and safely and are there specifically to help make the transition easy for each participant.
All friends and family are welcome to join us at the park on race day to watch your athlete(s) compete in the race. There are several locations inside the park and along the run course for spectators to observe sections of the course. The bike course is the only section of the course that will not be accessible to spectators.
All event photos and recap videos are shared via the Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon Facebook Page.
The Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon is a FUN-raising event with a focus on fun, finishing and fundraising. In recent years, the trophy ceremony has overshadowed our mission of creating an unintimidating and exciting experience for all while helping spread Gavin Lambert’s “finisher’s spirit” and supporting Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), our race beneficiary. In 2023 and beyond, all funds typically allocated to trophies will be repurposed and included in the overall charitable donation to FARA
